Protecting intellectual property rights in Qatar is necessary to make sure that your business identity is not stolen and used in an unauthorized manner. Trademark registry applications in Qatar are administered by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI), Intellectual Property Rights Protection Department. Businesses and individuals who wish to protect their brand must fulfill certain requirements to get their trademark registered.
At Arabian Wingz, we provide end-to-end support for your trademark registration and make sure that you easily protect your brand identity, secure exclusive rights, and gain a competitive edge in the market. Moreover, our specialized team ensures that everything is done in a legal and compliant manner, which further ensures that your application does not face any delays or rejections.

At the initial stage, we carry out a complete trademark search before submitting your application. This is done to ensure that your mark is not in conflict with those that have already been registered or that have been submitted for registration by third parties.
If the mark is available, we will proceed with the next step of application submission. We request our trademark registration appeal to the Trademark Office of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) in Qatar and specify the mark and goods/ services based on the Nice Classification system.
When the application is submitted, the trademark office will evaluate everything to make sure that it fulfills the legal requirements for registration. If approved, the mark will get published in the Official Gazette. Now, it's time for the opposing parties to raise their objection within a 60-day period. If no questions are raised, the trademark will be registered.
When the trademark is published, a 60-day opposition period will take place. During this stage, third parties can oppose the registration if they find any issues. If no opposition is filed or the opposition is unsuccessful, the authorities will approve the application. A Certificate of Registration will be issued afterwards.
Your business will receive the issuance certificate, which certifies that the mark is officially and exclusively for your business use. This registration is valid for only 10 years from the date of filing.

Businesses must renew their trademarks in Qatar 6 months before the expiry of the 10-year registration. If they fail to do so, it could lead to cancellation of the mark. However, there is a six-month grace period that authorities provide to avoid any fines or penalties. Partnering with Arabian Wingz is beneficial as we take care of your renewal and maintenance in the most efficient manner. Our experts provide consistent maintenance that ensures the trademark remains enforceable and recognizable in the Qatari marketplace for years to come.
